About the Hoco A9 Pro Kids Tablet

An Android tablet built for younger children, with a protective case that survives being dropped and a stand for propping it up. Runs the usual apps — YouTube Kids, games, learning apps — from the Google Play Store.

Worth setting expectations honestly: this is an entry-level tablet at an entry-level price. It won't be as quick as an iPad, and it's best suited to younger children rather than teenagers who'll want something faster.

Parental controls are not automatic. Android's Family Link lets you set screen time limits, approve app downloads and filter content, but you have to set it up. We'll walk you through it in store if you'd rather not do it yourself.
